Department Information:

MITS has recognized the importance of the fact that Biotechnology plays a vital role in various facets of quality of life.
This department offers 4 year full time B.Tech Biotechnology course.

Established in: 2002

Intake: 30

Dept Activities:
To meet renowned positions and to well equipped with knowledge the student is being trained to develop communication skills in the form of seminars. Every student has to participate and should present one seminar per semister along with well prepared script. This enhances written as well as presentation skills and student will become more confident.

Mini projects will be conducted in the 3rd year 2nd semister for every batch to improve the basic learnt lab techniques into meaningfull projects and also improves the scientific way of presentation.

Laboratories:
Bioinformatics, Biochemistry, Plant Tissue Culture, Microbiology, Bioprocess, Instrumentational methods of analysis, Molecular Biology, Immunology and Down stream Processing Labs.

Faculty:
This department has well-qualified and experienced professionals to train the students in various streams.
