Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) Programme
The Department has designed its undergraduate programme to meet the industry requirements. The curriculum of the undergraduate programme provides the flexibility to students to learn advanced specializations. The department commits to offer a set of electives so that the students can plan their academic programme in advance. The course structure provides a right combination of compulsory and elective courses.
Curriculum
The B. Tech. Programme is divided into
two distinct parts. A student has to go through a common
programme called Core Curriculum. Most of the core
curriculum is completed in the First four semesters. The
last four semesters consists of more number of
professional courses, for the students to become
familiar with the concept of Electrical and Electronics
Engineering.
The Core Curriculum consists of a package of
compulsory courses in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics,

Industrial visits
The students of the Departments are regularly taken to various industries with support from faculty. There are typically 5 or 6 visits every year to industries in different manufacturing fields. This co-curricular activity enables students to observe, first-hand, the practical applications of concepts learned in their coursework and helps them consolidate their classroom learning with a strong appreciation of real-world relevance. The specific outcomes that are addressed by the industry visits are that the students should be able to:
- Explain the functioning of the industry
- Describe the organizational structures of the industry
- Express insights on working culture in the industry
- Set career goals based on information gathered by visiting industries
- Enhance interpersonal skills, learning and communication skills
- List the do’s and don’ts in an Industry
- Discuss Safety, health and environment factors
Given below is a list of Industrial Visits arranged for the students during recent academic years
