MITS has constituted a committee to provide a mechanism to students for redressal of their grievances with regard to their complaints on academic and non-academic matters, grievances related to assessment, victimization, attendance, charging of fees, conducting of examinations, issues related to transport, hostel and harassment by colleague students or teachers etc. It is referred to as Grievance Redressal Committee of the Institute to deal with the grievances of the students. The members of the committee shall be constituted by the Principal. This committee is empowered to Co opt other members as per the type and nature of the grievance and the situation. The details of these committees are furnished below:
Students Grievance Redressal Committee at Programme Level
Head of the particular department and the concerned faculty shall be the co opted members. Vice Principal (Academics) will chair the meeting for that particular matter.
Committee at Institute Level to deal with Grievance related to Academic and Administrative Matters
VP (Admin), Head of the Department of the concerned programme and One Senior faculty shall be the Co opted members
Institute Level Committee
VP (Admin), HOD’s of the Engineering, Management, Computer Applications, Hostel Warden and Transport in charge shall be the Co-opted members. This committee will deal with all the Grievances directly which are related to the common problems at Institute level - both academic and administrative. In addition, this committee will also entertain the appeal filed by the student against the decision of the Programme level committee.
